It is absolutely essential to declare that “we are all one” in your mind, prayers, meditations, and to actually believe it sincerely, not just say it in a rote manner. An acceptance and declaration that we are all one.. Say it however you’d like in your mind, personally I like to make affirmations and similar statements like these in my mind especially in public places. Always dismiss thoughts of superiority over others. Let go of any judgements of people around you, instead bless them and wish them the best. Things to think within a crowd of people:

  • We are all united and one as children of the universe/god
  • We are all one as brothers and sisters and one.
  • There is no separation between myself and others, we are one
  • We are all eternal reflections of the universe
  • We are all love because God is Love
  • God bless all my brothers and sisters. We are one.
  • I am not unique/special or better than my brothers/sisters, we are all united and one

By declaring with sincerity that we are one with our brothers and sisters, by explicitly saying so in your mind often, wishing others well, blessing them, and acknowledging that separation between us is but an illusion of the ego, we step closer to the divine truth. Let us transcend this illusion and affirm the unity that Jesus Himself so fervently taught and embodied.

To be honest, this fundamental point in Jesus’ teachings is often completely overlooked in modern Christian churches by pastors/preachers. As I’ve mentioned before, the predominant focus tends to be on urging individuals to only “accept Jesus as your savior,” a direction that Jesus himself never instructed his apostles or followers to proclaim. Instead, His teachings instead emphasized the profound truth of our unity and oneness as human beings and following a specific set of selfless, altruistic and benevolent guidelines to follow as humans.

For those who argue that the aforementioned affirmations should not be made because they are not explicitly stated in the Bible. I urge you to let go of these overly rigid interpretations of the bible. The essence of faith is not found in the literal recitation of scripture but in living out the values and teachings of Jesus. What truly matters is aligning with His message—one of love, unity, and connection.

Jesus taught us to recognize and accept that we are all brothers (and sisters), united as one. He sought for us to recognize this oneness in the same way He understood His unity with God the Father. The ultimate goal is not a fixation on precise words but the realization and embrace of our shared divinity and interconnectedness.

The ego, while the source of reason and intellect, comes at the cost of true happiness and the profound bond we share with one another, the universe, and God. To restore that connection, we must humbly set aside the ego, allowing God’s will to guide us and embracing our collective unity.

Why these essential teachings on unity and interconnectedness are not given the priority they deserve in Christian doctrine remains a mystery to me. Perhaps, if more self-proclaimed Christians in this country—particularly those harboring prejudice—were taught to fully embrace and declare this truth in their hearts and minds, we might see less division within our society and culture. A genuine acknowledgment of our shared oneness is the key to fostering greater harmony and understanding among us all.

Without a sincere belief in our unity as humans, you simply cannot ascend to a higher level of consciousness/enlightenment. Jesus knew this, however it needs to be spelled out more clearly to a modern audience.
