I ask the Holy Spirit to help me identify my own ego’s weaknesses (sins). They are our sources of suffering. The universe starts revealing them in obvious repetitive patterns. Identify your weaknesses as they happen and forgive anyone who triggers them immediately. You will notice that people start triggering them to help you identify them more effectively. Let them roll off your back. As they happen, forgive them and never let them irk you. Asking the Holy Spirit to help me know what my triggers and weaknesses are revealed them to me with absolute certainty. Quiet your mind with meditation to receive the Holy Spirit’s guidance.
Below are a list of a few of some of my own ego’s triggers in the hopes it helps you. Your list might be longer, shorter or similar. But when you ask for your weaknesses to be revealed, keep your eyes peeled for repetitive patterns that reveal your weaknesses. In some of these you can tell my weaknesses are based purely off feeling disrespected.
- I forgive my brothers and sisters who interrupt me or speak over me when I’m speaking
- I forgive my brothers and sisters who don’t respond to my messages and ignore my requests. I forgive those who trespass against me/us
- I forgive my brothers and sisters who are rude and disrespectful when they speak to me. I ask my father to forgive me for my own trespasses when I act this same way towards others.
- I forgive my brothers and sisters who tell me what to do, who order me around, or demand to know things or demand things from me as if they’re my boss or if they demand to know my business. I forgive those who trespass against me. Forgive me for my own trespasses father when I act this same demanding or entitled way towards my father or brother or others.
Father forgive me for my own trespasses of these acts, which I’m equally guilty of. These same annoyances. Thank you for helping me recognize and realize my own weaknesses by seeing it in others.
As an aside, in your quest to forgive, It is also helpful to ask the Holy Spirit for help revealing who you still need to forgive if it’s not immediately obvious to you. Yes you’re asking for cosmic help and it works.
This helps you identify your own weaknesses since you are constantly projecting your faults and weaknesses onto others. This elevates your self awareness and self realization, maximizing your introspection.
