If you live in a big city then there’s a big chance you have daily opportunities to demonstrate Jesus’ teaching of being a Good Samaritan. Always take advantage of these opportunities to help others, they lead to massive spiritual growth through selflessness.

Any good gestures to help others keep you in alignment with God/the universe, and it always comes back to help you in spades because no good deed goes unrewarded. Make it a habit to help others in less fortunate situations than yourself whenever you can. Imagine being in their shoes. Carrying around cash even a little bit helps. These habits are essential to being a Christian & follower of Jesus’ teachings. Make no judgments towards others who have found themself in such an unfortunate state.

Other options include signing up for local soup kitchens or other non for profit organizations designed to help the poor and homeless. Pitch in your time if money is not as accessible. The natural order of the universe is peace and love, and you will be back in harmony with the universe once again.

Seeing and helping the hungry first hand is an eye opening and humbling experience. Give them each your blessings and your best wishes and love when you help them. Even if you don’t say it out loud, say it in your thoughts sincerely and those thoughts go an actual long way. Please volunteer at least once and try to cook up huge trays of food if possible and bring them over. Diversifying their options goes a long way. Make no judgments on how they got to such a point in their life. Always wish them the best and bless them. Those aren’t empty gestures and help them as much as possible.

“Don’t let the left hand know what the right hand is doing” encourages believers to practice generosity and kindness quietly, without seeking personal acclaim, trusting that God sees and rewards acts of true compassion and selflessness.

Matthew 25:35-40

For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.
