• In your mind, frequently declare and acknowledge to yourself and the universe that you are one with all and everyone. In your mind, state that we are all one. Not separate from each other. This is important and must be stated and believed earnestly.
  • In your mind, ask the quantum field of the universe (a very real thing that is already being observed by scientists and what Jesus referred to as the holy spirit) to reveal your ego’s weaknesses and flaws so you can face and acknowledge them head on. You’ll start seeing patterns and coincidences in your life that reveal them to you. Pay attention to those patterns and coincidences. Quiet the static noise of your mind that comes from constantly thinking via meditation, so you can look inward, and receive those critical insights about yourself. When you use the lord’s prayer, and ask god forgiveness for your “trespasses”, make sure you are asking for forgiveness for your ego’s weaknesses that were revealed to you from looking inwards, and ask to be lead away from those temptations, and ask for help to be relieved of them. Acknowledge and face them head on. Don’t be shy about facing and letting go of your ego’s weaknesses.
  • Father (the universe, our source) let thy will be done I yield all control to you. I let go of my ego’s constant need to control every aspect of my life. Please take the wheel and take control. Steer me in the right direction.

Regarding the first tip, use whatever it takes to serve as a prompt to remind you to repeat to yourself that you are one with everyone, that there are no differences between yourself and others, that you are not special, and you are not distinct from others. Everyone’s ego wants them to think they are special, unique or separate from others when we are all in fact one. It’s tempting to feel that we are special, especially when their parents kept telling them how special they were, but in reality we are all one. I would personally change my phone’s wallpaper or password to serve as a prompt so I would declare that we are all one so I’d have to repeat it multiple times a day. Yes, a simple affirmation like this has profound effects. When you’re in a large crowd of people, think it in your mind, that you are one with everyone there. During your commute, or when you’re at school or the office, affirm it to yourself.

Try it for a week and see how you feel. It costs you nothing to try this.

This is not nearly emphasized enough in modern Christian teachings for the same reasons I mentioned earlier because it’s an uncomfortable truth that most people don’t want to hear, and they mostly want to preserve their egos. The relinquishing of people’s egos is critical to enlightenment, and without this critical step, Christianity is missing the most important step of any spiritual practice which is enlightenment and a spiritual awakening.

When you see “other” people that don’t feel “right” to you since they’re outside what is typically considered “normal”, use them as opportunities to proclaim to the universe and yourself that they are one with you and you are one with them. Don’t let superficial differences between yourself and others derail you and obstruct your ability to achieve and accept our oneness. That includes anytime you see trans folks, gay folks, and people of other races/groups. It is impossible to uphold Jesus’ teachings of unity while constantly judging people of other groups and insisting that they are separate and different, or that you are superior to them. Instead affirm to yourself that there are no differences and that we are all one. Accepting our universal humanity and oneness no matter how different the “other” person is or seems, is the key to a spiritual awakening. Unfortunately, logging onto Twitter/X and it’s all too common to see people with “Love Jesus” in their profile spewing unrestrained hatred on people of other ethnic groups or the lgbt community instead of using them as opportunities do declare that we are all one which is what Jesus wanted us to acknowledge.

When you see people who are behaving differently than you, or you notice superficial differences, whether it be culturally or the way people speak, accents, languages, or differences of opinion or beliefs being spoken. Instead of judging them for speaking or acting differently, use that as a prompt to remind yourself that we are all one. My friend used to judge people who would curse often in their everyday speech, and would see them as being inferior. Instead of judging them, tell yourself we are all one. Try to catch yourself judging others, and always use that potential judgement as a prompt to remind yourself we are all one.

In short, every time you see someone “different” from you, use it as a prompt to affirm to yourself that you and that person are in fact one, equally one with god and the universe.

Be inclusive instead of divisive by any means necessary.

Bonus Tip:

Never take anything personally, let that be your prompt to automatically forgive someone. Even a mildly wounded ego should prompt you to forgive them. That sting your ego feels when your feelings are hurt should have an automatic knee jerk reaction of forgiveness. Make this a habit.
