Many may ask what is the efficacy and utility of not judging others. On the surface it may seem necessary to function and survive in civilization. We’ve done it so long it seems absolutely necessary and impossible to live without. However when the goal is unity/oneness with all humanity and the universe.. you are essentially drawing borders between yourselves and others when you judge. The judgement can even be for something as minor as someone enjoying music you can’t stand or having a particular fashion sense you can’t stand. And in some cases there is an implication in your mind that they are inferior to you. It’s not explicitly stated in your mind but it’s still the takeaway in your consciousness. These are toxic ideas and purge them immediately. Monitor your thoughts for when these thoughts occur and nip them in the bud. Ask the Holy Spirit to cleanse your mind of those thoughts and send your blessings and love to those persons. Acknowledge your unity and oneness with them as a collective family that we all literally are.

This is especially important as you are demonstrating humility and compassion by not judging others, which helps preserve your humanity and empathy. Judging anyone for someone for something they’ve committed is incredibly unfair as you have no idea where they are in their life that brought them to do whatever it is they did. Context is crucial.

It should also be noted by all that judgements tend to be an involuntary and implicit projection of our own faults and weaknesses. So intercept these judgments as they’re about to happen and use them as opportunities and prompts to self examine. Ask yourself honestly if there is anything in you that you see in them as you judge them. Everyone is our mirror being held up to us at all times.

The goal on your mind should always be reinforcing and preserving thoughts and beliefs of unity with all. You are not distinct, special or better than any of your brothers/sisters. Make a personal mantra to remind yourself of this fact if necessary. For Christians who are triggered by terms like mantra. Put aside your egotistical desire to see yourself as “different” or “better” than other spiritual faiths. Actual Christianity entails recognizing our unity and oneness not constantly looking for ways to distinguish yourself from others. There is nothing spiritually wrong with establishing or using a mantra. A constant fear of going to hell over semantics is ludicrous and spiritually unhealthy. You would need to sincerely believe God is sadistic to believe using a mantra would condemn you to an eternity in a lake of fire. This sort of thinking is what perpetuates mainstream Christianity to primarily be a faith centered entirely on fear based thinking instead of love which is incredibly toxic.
