“Jesus’ Actual Instructions for A Spiritual Awakening“
Introduction:
Christianity in its modern state bears little resemblance to the profound principles Jesus taught us. It has reached a point where, if Jesus were alive today, he would neither recognize nor endorse much of what is now presented in his name.
Many who take issue with modern Christianity do so not because of the teachings of Jesus, but out of frustration with modern Christians who do not embody his message. There is nothing inherently flawed in what Jesus taught; His values of compassion, love, and forgiveness are universal principles that few would argue against. When secular critics challenge Christianity, it is often the unchristian actions and beliefs of those who call themselves Christians that are under scrutiny, rather than the core ideology itself. The critique is rarely aimed at the teachings of Jesus, but rather at those who fail to live by them, making them poor representatives and ambassadors of His message.
The way forward is simple but profound: Christians must actually embody the teachings of Christ. There is a growing crisis within Christianity, where less and less Christians are living in accordance with Jesus’ instructions than those who claim to follow Him. The lack of empathy, humanity, compassion, humility, and selflessness seen among many Christians today is undeniable, and it undermines any claim they have to be true disciples of Jesus. Only by encouraging people to actually follow the very straightforward instructions in his message can this crisis be resolved.
Who was Jesus Actually?
Jesus is someone who embodied a profound understanding of the human condition, recognizing the constant tug of war between the free will of our egos and the greater will of God (the universe). Our minds are two sides of the same coin, our metaphysical connection with all things and our intellectual side. Both need to be leveraged equally but neither can ignored completely for a truly healthy life.
In his own journey, he voluntarily surrendered his personal will, embracing the higher purpose that had been assigned to him. In doing so, he fulfilled his destiny as a teacher and guide to his brothers and sisters, showing us all the path to living in harmony with the universe and our own divinely guided purposes. Through his life, he demonstrated how to realign with the greater will of the universe, in effect guiding us toward being able to fulfill our true cosmic destinies.
Our egos, however, resist the very idea of destiny or fate, clinging tightly to the belief that we have absolute control over our lives. While it is possible to exert such control, this path often comes at the cost of inner peace and fulfillment. The price of total control is, indeed, total misery, as anxiety and stress stem from an overactive mind that refuses to yield to the flow and guidance of the universe.
Conversely, Jesus offered a different path—a path of surrendering to the will of the universe, our father. In letting go, he not only found relief from suffering but also fulfilled the purpose assigned to him. He showed us that this surrender opened the door to a state of consciousness he called “Heaven,” a state of peace and joy that exists within each of us, accessible here and now, not merely after death.
One of the greatest misrepresentations of Jesus’ teachings is the belief that Heaven is some distant realm we reach after we die. In truth, he taught that it is within us, available to those who are ready and willing to embrace it in this lifetime.

Perhaps the most critical lines in the Lord’s Prayer that Jesus taught His apostles is, “Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done.” When you recite these words in your mind, they must come from a place of sincerity. You are willingly surrendering your own control and free will in favor of the will of the universe—our higher power and Father, with whom we are united. This act of submission reflects a deep trust in a higher plan.
It requires humility and the ability to set aside one’s ego to willingly relinquish one’s desire for ultimate control, surrendering instead to the will of our Father.
Jesus was a man guided and steered by the Holy Spirit to share with us effective instructions to experience a spiritual awakening just as he had; He offered clear and simple teachings on how to achieve this, by way of leading Christlike life. For those put off by the term Christlike, it is not self-deification, it is merely following his very simple guidelines to follow in life.
His instructions did not call for worship of himself but instead provided a practical guide that anyone could follow, with results that could be personally verified by those who earnestly practiced them. The idea of being required to worship Jesus for “eternal life” was later constructed by those seeking to establish a religion to capitalize on his life and message.
At the heart of his teachings was an invitation to tap into the pervasive and invisible Quantum Field (aka Holy Spirit) a presence that flows throughout the universe binding us all together with all things. This spirit is something we all encounter often in our daily lives, we often dismiss its impact on our lives as mere coincidences or intuition. Yet, these experiences are glimpses of a deeper united reality available to us all.
The skepticism of atheists and non-believers often stems not from the absence of truth in Jesus’ teachings, but from the misrepresentation and poor instruction offered by many Christian churches today. These institutions frequently distort the original message, losing sight of the enlightened state Jesus sought to help others achieve. The path to connecting with the greater universe lies within each of us, waiting to be unlocked. It’s a journey not reserved for an “afterlife” but something we can experience here and now.
The stipulation that one needs to wait for death is another misconception propagated by organized religion. Jesus showed that the doorway to spiritual fulfillment and a deeper understanding of existence is already within us, ready to be opened by those willing to explore it.
Unfortunately our collective and selfish egotistical minds has deliberately distorted his teachings, for 2000 years. It’s been an attempt to push back on what Jesus taught. It’s to the point where objectively speaking, full on hatred is utilized and justified by self professed followers of Jesus, completely missing the core tenets of his teachings.

In light of this, my aim is to reconnect Christians to Jesus’ teachings rather than what is now misrepresented as his ideology. My goal is also to guide readers in transcending our ego’s limitations, re-enabling our connection with our universal oneness and inherent human potential. This transformation is entirely possible through a faithful following of Jesus’ actual teachings —teachings that, when genuinely followed, lead to profound spiritual growth. Rest assured that when hatred and resentment take root in your heart, you have derailed completely from the true essence of what Jesus taught as well as your desired destination of enlightenment. Hatred and Christianity cannot occupy the same person despite the many rationalizations attempted by fringe Christians, so followers of Jesus need to pick one, not both.
For those disillusioned by religion, rest assured that the teachings of Jesus hold profound value, even for those who identify as secular. There is no need to change your identity or adopt a new label for yourself; Jesus taught a foolproof method to experience spiritual enlightenment. It’s accessible to all even if you are reluctant to change how you identify. His intent was never to establish yet another organized religion that divides rather than unites, but to give us a roadmap towards a more connected and euphoric existence.
Is there anyone, who can successfully argue that there is no value in forgiveness and in making and preserving peace with our fellow humans? These are universally desirable principles and habits that would benefit our entire species, not just our individual selves. The added benefit of forgiveness that it acts as a prompt towards self reflection, helping us achieve higher levels of self awareness.
For those turned off by modern Christianity, it’s easy to see why many would be repelled, by observing Christianity by the fruit it bears. Too often, modern Christians, without hesitation, unapologetically spread hatred and sow discord both within their social circles and throughout society. These self-proclaimed followers of Jesus, by their actions, are undeniably contradicting the very principles Jesus instructed. It’s critical to not let them influence how you feel about Jesus teachings which always promoted peace and love in addition to setting the stage for enlightenment.
Unfortunately, Christianity in its current mainstream state is a religion that both breeds and tolerates hatred and is now completely normalized. Attitudes and beliefs among modern Christians completely betray Jesus teachings. There is very little to no pushback of this normalized hatred from many Christian communities. Many justify that hatred towards others citing their “breaking of biblical laws”, however expressing and directing hatred towards others is itself breaking Jesus teachings. Many will utilize mental gymnastics to justify hatred but once you’ve allowed hatred into your heart, you’ve derailed from the path that Jesus taught us to be on.
I desire to correct all disinformation about Jesus’ teachings in an effort to redirect Christianity from its current disastrous trajectory into what Jesus actually taught in order to finally bring Christians into enlightenment, harmony amongst all humans with the greater universe & society into peace.
Strive to transcend the burdens of daily existence driven by ego, overthinking, and self-centeredness. Instead, aim to rediscover our inherent connection to the universe, which embodies love in its purest form and unity among all beings. Join me on this journey of reclaiming our true birthright and embracing a state of harmonious coexistence with the universe and humanity.

A few key things to keep in mind:
Christianity should be seen as a practice not a religion. Once we start introducing ideas like organized religions, we begin segregating people into different groups and seeing our brothers and sisters as “Others” which violates Jesus teachings of unity and seeing everyone as other children of ‘our Father’. The temptation and desire to start segregating people into groups inevitably results in ‘us versus them’ line of thinking and is purely a product and temptation of our egos and its tendency towards tribalism.
Heaven is Enlightenment and Can Be Experienced Today, Not After Death. For those in doubt, give it a genuine test run and see for yourself. This misconception of when ‘heaven’ is actually experienced is a myth perpetrated by Christians for 2000+ years and demonstrates a total lack of understanding of Jesus’ teachings. Heaven is the state of internal spiritual enlightenment, not a physical kingdom that we “go to”. Jesus spoke in metaphors constantly so when he says “enter a kingdom” he means it in a figurative sense, but in literal terms. It is merely our ability to achieve total unity with the universe. What he also meant when saying it was within us, is that we all have an internal on switch to enable this euphoria. No need to go anywhere to achieve it. “Heaven” itself symbolizes the highest state of enlightened consciousness. It’s Jesus’ term for what several other faiths refer to as Enlightenment, Nirvana, Moksha, Satori, Kundalini, etc. No individual faith/religion has ownership of the idea/path to spiritual enlightenment/awakening. More Christians would have reached this by now if they actually followed Jesus’ instructions. Jesus’ instructions and path are very clearcut and simple.
Jesus Gave Followers Guidelines To Awaken To Truth Within But He Never Instructed Anyone To Worship Him. He was a sage blessed to the entire world to teach us the path to truth and enlightenment but not someone who ever went around telling people to worship him. He specifically advised us to direct our love and reverence to our Father, our ultimate source. He also taught us to invoke the power of the Holy Spirit in our daily lives. This is essential step in reestablishing harmony with the universe by not only utilizing the Holy Spirit instead of our egos but choosing the path of peace, love and forgiveness. It’s reasonable to accept that Jesus was fulfilling a specific destiny to teach us all the path to the kingdom of heaven but it does not imply he was asking to be worshipped which would have been incredibly egotistical of him.

It’s important to be follower of Jesus teachings, but Idolization of Jesus violates our father’s universal rule instructing us not to put any idols before him. This is no different than Buddhism, and in how they follow the virtues and principles taught by Buddha but do not actually worship Buddha himself.
This is has been a giant misconception within the Christian religion for 2000 years. It’s great to respect Jesus, but we should acknowledge our unity with all, direct our prayers to our father and invoke the very real and sentient holy spirit in our daily lives as he instructed. Jesus was our teacher on how to access our universal connection with All/God within. It’s understandable to say that you believe Jesus had a specific purpose during his life, which is true, but he is no different than all of us, as we all have a destined purpose we begin to fulfill when we begin shifting away from our egos to universal consciousness.
Jesus instructed. “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment”. Keep in mind that many modern churches claim the only necessary step on your spiritual journey is to “Accept Jesus as your lord and savior” which sets the bar for spiritual enlightenment incredibly low. Just saying you “accept him” implicitly suggests to many people that all his other teachings can be thrown to the wayside so long as you accepted him. This is tantamount to someone saying they’ve “accepted” the vegan lifestyle but continue to eat steaks daily. It’s not enough to simply make this declaration.
Jesus’ instructions to salvation/enlightenment/heaven have always been to choose the route of peace and love in every situation and to yield to the holy spirit whenever possible. Publicly announcing Jesus is your lord and savior is meaningless is you’re not putting into practicing any of the instructions he taught during his ministry. Jesus never said we need to publicly announce he is the Son of God to achieve the state of heaven/salvation he described. The reality is he said that we are all the ‘Children’ of our Father, so he was never claiming to be the only ‘Son’ of God. Unfortunately metaphorical language in biblical texts resulted in more ambiguity and misunderstandings than there needed to be.
Invoke and tap into what Jesus labeled Holy Spirit for guidance during prayer/meditation. This requires total humility and relinquishing your ego’s desire for constant control in order to yield to the guidance of this very real quantum energy field permeating throughout the entire universe that we all have access to and binds all of us together.
Referring to the higher power/universe as “Our Father” is far better than “God” as it serves as a reminder that we are all one with our Father and Source, all his “children” and therefore all brothers and sisters. Although “our father” and “God” are used interchangeably, the word “God” can sometimes imply to others of a separate distinct entity up there watching up us from above, when the true nature of reality is much different than that. Jesus also used “children” figuratively but in more literal terms we are all God incarnate in human form. Realizing that helps us recognize that we are literally one with fellow humans and and one and the same with our father. Some Christians may still refuse to believe this and insist that we are separate but this both deviates from reality and what Jesus taught. Jesus was just as much an advocate and teacher of nondualism as other iconic spiritual teachers such as Buddha, as evidenced by his choice of words in his lessons.
We are all the Son (or Daughter) of God just as Jesus was. – Jesus came to tell us we are all God’s children and one with our father, no different than himself. Nothing would be more egotistical than insisting than we are distinct and separate from our father and our brothers and sisters. This partially birthed the Golden Rule. Treat others as you want to be treated, because ultimately we are one, and inseparable from our Father.
