To walk the path of transcending ego and experiencing the euphoria within that Jesus described as the “kingdom of heaven within” requires more than belief, it demands a surrender of self. His invitation was not to worship him, but to yield to the will of the universe, embodied in the Holy Spirit, or, in the language of future science, the quantum field that permeates all existence.

In earlier writings, I have emphasized that this surrender is the pivot upon which the spiritual journey turns: a shift from the narrow vision of ego-consciousness to the boundless perspective of the greater will of the universe. In relinquishing the ego’s carefully drawn plans, one aligns with a design far greater than any the self could conceive, a design that inevitably carries us toward the most harmonious trajectory of our lives.
It must be understood that Jesus, though a figure of immense spiritual significance, came not as the object of worship, but as a luminous teacher pointing the way. He had reached the summit of spiritual awakening and sought to guide others to that same height. Yet, modern Christianity often directs worship and devotion toward his image rather than his instructions, exalting loyalty to him over the living practice of his teachings: loving without condition, forgiving without measure, and surrendering the illusion of control to the will of our Source.
“Let Thy will be done” and “Give us this day our daily bread” are not mere liturgical phrases; they are spiritual technologies for loosening the ego’s grip on the reins of life. In yielding to the current of the universe, one discovers the profound truth that there is no loss in surrender, only the gain of union with the infinite. This is the “heaven” Jesus spoke of, not a distant reward after death, but a state of bliss and unity available now, within the stillness of our own being.
Tragically, many churches devote themselves to divisive debates, political entanglements, and the judgment of others, turning away from the radical inclusivity and unity at the heart of Jesus’ message. Reverence for him is right and good, but it must never obscure the greater invitation he gave: to walk the inner path, to release the ego’s dominion, and to awaken to our oneness with the Source. Only then can we enter the kingdom, not by creed or ritual, but by transformation of the heart.
Below is a useful prayer to recite that keeps your eyes on the prize to help reach it.
Today, I affirm that we are all reflections and expressions of the greater universe, united, interconnected, and one. I call upon the eternal and cosmic quantum field of the universe to guide my every action, word, decision, and thought into the future. I surrender the will of my ego and instead embrace the will of the greater universe, expressed through this universal spirit that permeates all things and binds us together as one.
I ask this universal Spirit to dissolve all illusions of separation between myself and my brothers and sisters. Help me to see through the veil of division and remember that we are all one human family—one with each other and one with the universe itself. May these illusions of separation between us fall away, and may the truth of our unity become ever more clear.
I recognize that what Jesus called “heaven” is not a distant afterlife, but the state of inner bliss and divine connection that is available to us here and now upon surrender. I ask our source our father, our source and the Spirit of the universe, to help me access the ecstasy and clarity of enlightenment that lives within us all. Heaven aka Enlightenment as Jesus and other enlightened beings taught was always within us—a direct experience of our reconnection to the cosmos above and the Spirit within just waiting to be accessed during our lifetime.
I declare to the universe that my greatest goal and highest priority is to return to this divine connection—to reestablish conscious union with our Source. I release my attachment to this body, this ego, this identity, and the personal story that brought me to this moment. I ask the Spirit of the universe to guide me into the future as I surrender all control, release me from the weight of the past and lead me into the flow of the present, where I can live in peace and clarity in the infinite.
I relinquish the ego’s constant urge to control, and instead place my trust in the divine order of the universe. I welcome the Spirit’s guidance and surrender to its wisdom, knowing that I am always supported, always loved, and never alone.
Father forgive me for always wanting to do things my own way, my ego’s way, instead I surrender to your will and your plan and purpose for me and all things. I ask the Holy Spirit to keep my life in accordance with our father’s grand design and plans for all of us. May my future and all actions be in harmony with our father’s will and plan for me and all things. If I ever deviated please forgive me. I love and appreciate all the people you put in my life to help me and help facilitate your plan for me. In peace, I let go of all fear of the future knowing you are guiding me on the best possible path, better than anything I could have planned for myself. I place my trust in our greater source and the holy spirit for all guidance. I relinquish all fear of death knowing we are all infinite beings, eternal reflections of our infinite source. I ask the god’s love and the holy spirit to take the place of any lingering fear present within me as I release it today.
