Actual Christianity

It is important for followers of Jesus to prioritize following his instructions rather than worshiping him, because Jesus was not a person who sought or asked for worship. That emphasis was added to the religion established in his name years after his death. During his life, Jesus repeatedly deflected praise and self-exaltation, redirecting attention away from himself and toward the deeper reality he was teaching.

Jesus was a man who understood the underlying nature of reality and how to awaken to the oneness with God and the universe that exists within all of us. At no point did he ever say, “Accept me as your Lord and Savior.” Yet this idea eventually became a prerequisite for “being saved,” introduced by those who claimed to be carrying forward his movement. In the process, there was a decisive shift from practicing what Jesus taught to merely believing in him and worshiping him, two things he never instructed.

Not to be overly cynical, but humanity has a long history of dropping the ball when it comes to preserving transformative teachings. Modern Christianity has drifted so far from Jesus’ original message that vast numbers of self-declared Christians never experience the inner awakening he was pointing toward. Instead, they are taught to view unity with God and liberation from ego as postmortem rewards, something to be received after death. In effect, Christianity has trained people to ignore the winning lottery ticket already in their pocket, insisting it can only be cashed in once they’re gone.

I grew up within Christianity, and for a long time I found myself deeply resistant to it. In hindsight, I now understand why: it was poorly taught. The practical instructions for attaining a higher state of consciousness, the very thing Jesus was emphasizing, were either obscured or omitted altogether. As a result, most Christians never experience what the teachings were meant to produce. That realization is a major motivation behind this blog.

It is imperative for those who identify as Christians to set aside doctrines that were added later and that ultimately lead people away from the true destination: the dissolution of the ego and the realization of unity with the universe. Instead, return to the instructions Jesus actually gave, instructions that anyone can follow. These teachings closely mirror those found in Taoism, Buddhism, Hinduism, and other spiritual traditions, and this overlap is no coincidence. The path to awakening from ego-based consciousness is remarkably consistent and functional regardless of the tradition it comes from. The universe is not partial to any specific religious tribe, it only cares that remember your oneness with humanity and the universe quite literally within you.

Choose the path you’re most comfortable with. But since you’re here, you’re invited to follow the affirmations listed on this page and ensure that you sincerely declare them in your consciousness towards the universe. When these affirmations are genuinely embodied, the universe begins to respond, not only by granting favors, but by removing the illusions maintained by the ego like a red carpet being rolled out for you. What remains is the awakening Jesus was pointing to all along. Your ego is always demanding total control of your life, so instead ask this very real layer and force within the universe to take the wheel and keep your will in alignment with the greater will of the universe. In effect, you are loosening your ego’s grip on control and asking for the universe to guide you instead, like a GPS that helps you avoid all the traffic jams.

There are more than a few conscious daily affirmations you should keep floating around your consciousness and should be meant with total sincerity to keep you on the right track and correct path towards the spiritual awakening that you always see discussed which is tantamount to an upgrade in your consciousness from your lower ego to your higher levels in which has been often described as the end of all suffering from multiple spiritual practices, which is an apt description. That said, you’ll find many of these checklist items familiar, however, the difference here is I want to emphasize and stress that these should be declared often and believed often. Declare to the universe within your mind that your highest priority is accessing the universe within you that has always been available. When saying the universe is within you, I mean that quite literally, as you are not separate from the greater universe, we are all in fact one with the entire universe. Your goal here as a human is to awaken to this fact. This is what Jesus was referring to as the ‘kingdom of god’ being within you. He was not referring to a gated community in the clouds. The entire universe is what Jesus was referring to as God’s kingdom which is also within you. You are not separate from it, just as you are not separate from your fellow humans here on earth despite our superficial illusionary differences and what our egos would like us to believe. The term ‘heaven’ became a logical shorthand for awakening to this fact but it must be understood by Christians that this awakening should be activated and enjoyed now during life despite the incorrect but popular Christian myth that this is a postmortem reward. Why wait to cash in the winning ticket?

The affirmations below can be practiced by anyone, even secular folks, as the universe is real and does not need to be proven. You are enabling a built in feature you have to help you remember your oneness with the universe and all humanity.

Before jumping into affirmations, there needs to be a constant practice of self-awareness, especially around the personal weaknesses we tend to project onto others and then attack them for. Moments of conflict are opportunities for reflection. When you clash with someone, pause and forgive them for the behavior that triggered you, while honestly acknowledging where those same traits live within you. In this way, the universe is holding up a mirror, revealing your own unresolved patterns.

Maybe you get into an argument online and the other person comes across as arrogant, condescending, dismissive, or hostile. Instead of escalating, forgive them for those traits, and then reflect on the times you’ve acted in the very same way. Ask the universe for forgiveness and for help in dissolving those habits within yourself. This kind of inner work requires humility and sincere self-examination, especially in moments when judgment and criticism arise.

That being said, it is important to remember that Jesus was not a teacher looking for worship in his own words despite absolutely being in tune with the greater universe as you could be too. That said, routinely declare all of these in your consciousness with total sincerity:

• I am one with all my brothers and sisters here on earth. We are all one. I ask the Holy Spirit of the universe to please make these illusionary differences between us fade away permanently so I may realize their unity with me as you would see fit. I let go of all judgments of my brothers and sisters knowing full well we are all one as reflections of our father and source
• During my quiet reflective moments help me identify my attachments. I recognize that these attachments do not define me or complete me. I ask the Holy Spirit to help wipe away these attachments and external identifications I have observed.
• I ask the Holy Spirit of the universe to please keep me in alignment with the will of our father and source. I leave my future in your hands and ask you to guide my mind, body and soul so that I remain in harmony with our father and his plans. I welcome the holy spirit to reside within me and continue to guide me on a daily basis.
• In peace, I declare there is nothing more important for me than to realize the universe that exists within me, my unity and oneness with God, the universe and all my brothers and sisters.
• Father, I release all attachments to all materials of form in this illusionary earth. Nothing is more important than awakening to the truth of our unity and oneness with you.
• Today I declare, I am not this body, I am freed of attachment/identification with this body. I ask our father and holy spirit to liberate me.
• Holy Spirit please reveal my weaknesses so that they may be eliminated. I forgive my brothers and sisters for any damage to my feelings and ego. I ask for forgiveness for what I have also forgiven my brothers and sisters for as well, as we are all one I see myself often in others. In forgiving my brothers and sisters I recognize they have harmed nothing real.
• Holy Spirit please eliminate all hostile and negative thoughts, let my mind always be one with our father’s. Please let me see the problems and their source so they may be resolved with your help.
• Let my desires be purified until my will is completely aligned with yours. May my future be completely set and steered by you.
• I release and let go of any attachment to the past and ask the holy spirit to keep me in the present moment as I leave the future in father’s hands and leave the past in the past.
• Father, I let go of all fear and any fear of death, any attachment to this body and life as life is eternal and there is no death. We are eternal reflections of you, our father and source. I welcome your love to replace any fear.
• I ask the Holy Spirit to guide me when I need guidance the most and to show me the correct way that stays in alignment with my father’s plan for myself and my future. Show me what serves our Father’s plans.
• Father I seek peace, love, the end of all suffering and your eternal guidance as I welcome you and your spirit into my life in all things. Please reveal the kingdom of God that remains within me.
• I ask the Holy Spirit to help me make peace where it needs to be made. Show me where it is needed as I open myself completely to peace and love with my brothers and sisters here.
• Lead me away from the temptations towards my weaknesses as I ask for forgiveness for them and I also forgive them when seen in others. In forgiving them I realize they have not hurt anything. I recognize my unity with my brothers and sisters even during hardships. We are one as our father’s children.
• In peace I release all judgements of my brothers. I am not superior to them and they are not superior to me. We are one. Lead me away from all temptations to judge others. I accept our unity and love for all my neighbors here. I relinquish all tribal labels. We are simply all our father’s children here on this earth.
• I extend peace, love, blessings, and security in life to all my brothers and sisters, even those I’ve had difficulties with. I accept our unity as our father’s children.
• I forgive anyone who offended and hurt my ego, it is a sign of an ego completely in control. They have hurt nothing. I release all grudges, resentments and indignation.
• I loosen my control on life and yield to you always as I am my father’s instrument.
• I let go of all judgment of my brothers and sisters. Just because someone is going through a rough patch or negative path does not mean they are inferior; we remain one and the same. We are united with one another and with all of humanity. Holy Spirit, please dissolve any illusions of separation between myself and others.
• I remain thankful to you father for your blessings in life, from my family, to shelter, daily sustenance, and Jesus who you gave us a wonderful teacher to experience truth.

For those that believe these affirmations and beliefs are dependent on faith rather than observable results. That is simply not the case. In the same way that you cannot pick up on or ‘see’ radioactive waves in the universe without the appropriate tools. You cannot pick up on and experience higher levels and different dimensions of the universe without upgrading your consciousness to higher levels. An ability that is built into each and every one of us. Any claim that none of this can be true are silly since the changes in your way of thinking/instructions/lifestyle changes provided are what you need to experience said upgrade, and all the appropriate evidence for those in doubt have been asking for are all here.

The evidence is not the religious book in someone’s hands, the evidence is the first hand experience you have from following said instructions. You are simply tuning your consciousness to wave or layer of the universe that had been there all along. They’ve received nicknames like ‘the holy spirit’ and ‘god’ but those were ancient terminologies that describe elements of the universe that will undoubtedly be proven by the fields of quantum mechanics. Why wait for science to catch up with what many have already known via the fields of spirituality upon successfully releasing our lower ego minds. As we are already well on our way to having even fundamental facts like the universe being within us being proven by established and esteemed astronomers/quantum scientists.
If you’ve been turned off by churches and organized religion in general and did not find success on these paths, it is likely due to many churches steering many parishioners on the wrong path and direction, mostly because they did not spend much time emphasizing the teachings and steps necessary to trigger said upgrade in consciousness. It is unfortunate, but the focus needs to be shifted back to the original core set of teachings of said faith. Jesus deflected all worship towards our father/source and kept the focus on invoking the holy spirit, praising our father/source and following a very strict set of lifestyle guidelines that few would find a good reason to resist as they are benevolent practices. It is critically important for church sermons and song gospels to reinforce these very ideas for their audiences as Jesus was not seeking worship.
